Kounts Due keeps track of dates you enter or scan: passports, policies, subscriptions and similar. This policy explains what happens to that information.
The short version
- We don’t collect your data. The developer has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
- Your items and scans live on your device.
- If you turn on iCloud sync, they are also stored in your own iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit. We can’t see them.
What the app stores
Names of items, dates, notes, costs, websites, the person an item belongs to, and the documents you scan or import. This is stored in the app’s protected storage on your device. Scans are protected so they can’t be read while the device is locked.
Reading documents
Text is read on your device using Apple’s Vision framework. Where your device supports it, on-device Apple Intelligence helps pick out dates. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party for this. You always review the result before it is saved.
iCloud (optional)
If you turn on iCloud sync, your items and scans are uploaded to your private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices. This is governed by your Apple Account and Apple’s privacy policy. Turning sync off stops syncing. Settings → Delete all data removes your items and scans from this device and from your iCloud account.
Notifications, widgets and Live Activities
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Widgets and notifications can show item names on your Lock Screen; control this in iOS Settings.
Camera, Photos and Files
The camera is used only when you choose to scan a document. Photos and Files are accessed only for the items you pick.
Backups
Exported backups are readable files that contain your items and documents. Keep them somewhere private.
Children
Kounts Due doesn’t knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will change and the new version will be published at the same address.
